Optical Microscopes are hand-held termination inspections tools that will provide years of service, true optical performance, and laser safety. FM-C-series microscope come with a filter installed inside the scope during anufacturing. It is KG series glass manufactured by Schott. The filter provides the following safeguards:
At least 20 dB of attenuation at 850nm (99% Power Reduction)
At least 50 dB of attenuation at 1300nm (99.999% Power Reduction)
At least 40 dB of attenuation at 1500nm ((99.99% Power Reduction)
Though, live fiber hould not be viewed under ANY circumstances.
